Operation with over 400 police officers in Southern Italy

To fight the local Camorra mafia

A large-scale operation is underway in Caivano, southern Italy, just outside Naples, involving more than 400 police officers. The goal of this operation is to fight the local Camorra mafia, which controls a huge drug trafficking ring in the area.

In July, in Kaivano, five minors and a 19-year-old had committed rape against two cousins, aged 10 and 12, inside an abandoned gym. During a visit to the region last week, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni pledged that the state’s presence in Caivano would be immediately increased and legitimacy would be restored.

During the current operation, molotov cocktails, 150 bullets, large sums of cash were seized and a large apartment was discovered where organized crime was packing drugs in small plastic bags for sale. In addition to the police, carabinieri, as well as men and women from the Italian army participated in the operation.

Finally, a woman was taken to the local police station, and during a body search it was found that she had hidden synthetic drugs in her underwear.
